It’s finally spring, which is good news to us in the Pacific Northwest. It means that sun will be here (relatively) soon… hopefully. Vin Wine and Events has a few things going on this month…
Vin Wine Clubs –
This months Vin Club will include:
2012 Domaine des Lauriers Rolle (France) -$12.99 An elegant white wine with a pretty, crystal-clear color with an elegant nose
dominated by the aromas of spring flowers, honey, and white fruits. It finishes with a briny/savory note.
Renegade Wine Co. Rose, 2012 (WA) – $10.99 from Sleight of Hands, 76%Syrah, 20% Mouvedre, and 4% Cinsault. It
has wonderful aromas of fresh pomegranates and citrus, some red berries, and even rhubarb. This wine will be the perfect pairing with a fresh beet salad and crumbled goat cheese, or grilled salmon.
Tami Nero d’Avola, 2012 (Italy) – $18.99 100% Nero d’Avola This is a bright and lighter style of Nero d’Avola — aromatic, with delicate notes of violets, fried sage and wild strawberries. The palate is extraordinarily elegant with lovely notes of boysenberry, espresso, anise and black licorice.
2007 Cottonwood Raya Jade, Syrah (Oregon) – $14.99 100% Syrah Full-bodied and perfectly balanced, this red wine begins with aromas of cherry blossom, leather, violets, and a hint of pear, followed by flavors of earth, spice, raspberry, and currant. Pair
it with stir-fried rice and seafood, grilled meats or grilled vegetables.
Patterson Cellars Woodslake Due Anni (WA) – $18.99 35% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, 3.5% Grenache, 3% Mourvedre, 2.5% Counoise. Italian for “Two Years,” this fruit-forward array of blackberry, dark cherry, cranberry, and plum floats across the palate on a soft bed of fine, structured tannins. Each and every varietal, along with new French oak, lends to the subtle nuances and complexities of this unique blend of 2010 and 2011 vintages.
Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 (Argentina) – $12.99 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and 100% Sustainably farmed. This estate Cab has lush flavors of red fruits and strawberry jam. Oak aging adds complexity and notes of spice and vanilla. Pair well with grilled beef/steak, brie cheese, lamb and sausage.
